Structural Criteria to Avoid Immediate Desk Rejection
To maintain the highest standards of academic integrity and streamline the evaluation process, the Editorial Board of the Zanco Journal of Human Sciences strictly enforces an initial screening phase.
Zanco journal DOES NOT accept, review, or publish any manuscript that fails to meet the following prerequisites. Failure to comply with these requirements will result in immediate desk rejection without being sent for peer review.
Manuscripts must rigidly adhere to the official Zanco Journal template, layout, font specifications, and referencing style. Submissions with incomplete metadata, poorly formatted reference lists, or missing mandatory sections will be rejected immediately.
Every submission must present innovative insights that actively advance the human sciences.
The journal has a strict policy against duplicate publication. Manuscripts found to contain text or ideas copied from previously published work (including the authors' own past papers) without flawless attribution will be rejected. All submissions undergo a software-based similarity check.
4.High-Standard Academic Language and Structure
The paper must follow a coherent, logical academic structure. Regardless of the language track (Kurdish, Arabic, or English), it must be precise, clear, and free from pervasive grammatical errors or awkward phrasing. If a manuscript requires heavy linguistic editing to be understood, it will be rejected at the desk.
The research design must be detailed, transparent, valid, and fully justified. Authors must clearly describe the research design, sampling procedures, participants, data collection methods and instruments, and data analysis techniques. Evidence of validity, reliability, or trustworthiness, as well as relevant ethical considerations, should be provided where applicable. Methodologies that are vague, inadequately reported, fundamentally flawed, or insufficient to support the study’s conclusions will result in the manuscript being returned to the author or rejected without being sent for peer review.
Investing time in formatting and language editing beforehand prevents unnecessary administrative delays.
