إن تقييم جودة الترجمة يُعد محوراً أساسياً في دراسات الترجمة التطبيقية، إذ يقوم على تقييم الترجمات بصورة منهجية من خلال تحليل عناصر الجودة الجوهرية، مثل الدقة، والطلاقة، والمصطلحية، والأسلوب، والنحو. يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة مدى فاعلية أنموذج هاوس (2015) من خلال إبراز مزاياه وعيوبه. فعلى الرغم من المكانة البارزة التي يحتلها هذا الأنموذج بوصفه من أكثر النماذج فاعلية وتأثيراً في مجال تقييم جودة الترجمة، إلا أنّه لم يخضع بعد لتقييم شامل يكشف عن مدى فاعليته وحدوده في سياق أوسع، فقد اقتصر تطبيقه في البداية على عدد محدود من النصوص الإنجليزية - الألمانية التي اختبرتها هاوس نفسها. إنّ هذا القصور في التقييم يترك فجوة معرفية مهمة تتعلق بمدى صلاحية الأنموذج وقابليته للتطبيق العملي. وقد اعتمدت منهجية البحث على اختيار ستة نصوص انجليزية متنوعة: ثلاثة أدبية وثلاثة غير أدبية، تمت ترجمتها الى العربية على يد مترجمين محترفين. وقد جرى تحليل هذه الترجمات وفقاً لمعايير أنموذج هاوس (2015) بغية التحقق من قابليته للتطبيق على أنماط نصية مختلفة. كما خضع الأنموذج لتقييم إضافي من خلال استبيان منظم شارك فيه عدد من المقيمين المحترفين. واعتمد البحث مزيجاً من الأساليب الكمية والكيفية في تحليل البيانات. كشفت النتائج أنّ أنموذج هاوس (2015) يتمتع بدرجة عالية من الفاعلية والموثوقية، فضلاً عن كونه مناسباً لتحليل النصوص الأدبية وغير الأدبية على حد سواء. كما يُقدم مقاربة متكاملة لتقييم جودة الترجمة من خلال مراعاة الأبعاد اللغوية والسياقية والوظيفية، وأيضاً يوفر إطاراً منهجياً راسخاً يصلح لتطبيقه على مختلف أنواع النصوص.
