The Use of "Light motive" a Kurdish Films The Film "Niwa Mang" as an Example

It is a descriptive and analytical study based on the qualitative approach. This study deals with the construction of "light motif" as a tool for composing cinematic music. Which was used artistically in the music of the film "Niwa Mang" by director Bahman Ghobadi. This study defines the relationship between scenes and music in the film in artistic and scientific language. And reconnects it to the main elements of music. From the perspective of the formal dimension of compositional music، the places where 'light motif' was reflected in the imagination of the film's scenes are analyzed، and it also played an effective role in enriching the film. The problem of the research lies in the absence of the construction of 'light motif' in Kurdish films in general or the absence of this construction in many Kurdish films despite its importance. This study aims to reveal the definition of the role and efficiency of using 'light motif' elements in director Bahman Ghobadi's film "New Mang". The importance of this research lies in benefiting filmmakers and musicians in the field of Kurdish cinema and benefiting from the results of this research. The study found that the use of light-motiv in the movie "New Mang" contributes greatly to the artistic and emotional effects of the movie. Five main axes are used in this movie، three of which are related to the characters in the movie and the other two axes are related to nostalgia and the painful travel scenes of the movie. Musical elements such as melody، maqam، sound، musical form and template، timbre، musical instruments، rhythm، harmony، and performance are used. All of them are connected as a coherent and unified musical unit on the basis of "light-motive".
