The Role of Translation in Language Construction and Lexicography Aziz Gardi's Works as an Example

Abstract

Of course, with the development of language and the advancement of technology, translation has played a significant role. Sometimes this effect is largely due to the introduction of new words, terms and foreign expressions into the translated language, and sometimes it affects the structure of the language, by borrowing new words and even reviving some words of the language itself Although some people have a negative attitude towards this important phenomenon and some even call translation one of the factors of language destruction, on the contrary, some consider it a process of reform and renewal in language It presents Kurdish through its relationships with other languages, much of which occurs through translation, while highlighting the process of development in the language and evaluating the effects of translation as natural and positive. The study also discusses the distinctive characteristics of two main translation approaches in the works of Aziz Gardi that he translated and worked on in the last decade of the twentieth century, namely culturally oriented approaches and linguistic approaches Based on linguistics, known as the scientific approach, they include central sources, the use of linguistic models, patterns and findings in inventing translation theories and avoiding literary translation analysis, inventing and developing the concept of "balance" to break the Kurds. Christian Nord (1977), a theorist in translation studies, has also improved the relationship between speaker and listener or writer and reader by presenting the components of his particular language sample. Based on the descriptive-analytical method, the current research attempts to criticize and research a translation by Aziz Gardi.
