Space of Location in the Novels by Karwan Omar Kakasur : ‘Museum of the Long-Haired Boy’ as a Sample

Abstract

This research is titled ‘Space of Location in the Novels by Karwan Omar Kakesur:  Museum of the Long-Haired Boy’ as a sample. This study aims at highlighting the works of this modern writer as he is considered as one of the modernistic writers of in Kurdistan, and he occupies a high, strong and outstanding position in this field. The reasons behind conducting this study are the existence of an observable gap with respect to the issue of location space in the Kakesure’s novels, on the hand, and the competent and the experience of the author in this respect on the other hand.

In fact, each of the basic arts of the novel has its own importance and characteristics by which it attains aesthetics, vitality, immortality and originality. Location space is one of these elements that play very important role in the structure of the novel, especially when it becomes essential of the beginning, goal and end of the text. Then it becomes the source of the meaning that results in the narrative process along with other genres such as events, time and characters. Thus, with the absence of space, each of the components of the novel loses its credibility and identity at the practical level if a strong relationship is not established with it
