الهدف من كتابة هذا البحث هو لفهم كيفية عمل أفعال الكلام في الترجمة. وأيضا لاكتشاف تعريف مختلف للترجمة والعلاقة بين الترجمة وافعال الكلام. إن أفعال الكلام وأنواع الترجمة هما العنصران المهمان لجعل منتج الترجمة خالية من الشوائب من ناحية المعنى والبلاغة ، فضلاً عن احتمال أن تكون أفعال الكلام قادرة على التأثير على جودة الترجمة،ولكن تم اكتشاف أن الترجمة ليست مجرد عملية نقل المعنى من لغة المصدر الى لغة اخرى ولكن أيضًا عملية نقل النية في الكلام من خلال تحليل المحتوى. ويتعلق اتجاه نوع الترجمة بالترجمة الحرفية عندما تتم ترجمة بعض الألفاظ بفكرة الفعل الإدلائي. في حين يتم ترجمة بعضها ليكون لفظيًا، إلا أنها تقع ضمن فئة الترجمة الاصطلاحية. ومن الممكن أن تندرج أفعال "الخسارة" و"الربح" ضمن فئة الأنشطة التخاطبية.
فيما يتعلق بجودة الترجمة، فإن استخدام الأفعال الإلقاءية يضمن دقة المعنى، لكن استخدام الأفعال اللا إلقائية يضمن الطبيعة أو القبول. ومن خلال وضع نظام "الخسارة" و"الربح" موضع التنفيذ، سيتم تحقيق تأثير قوة الأداء التي سيؤدي ذلك إلى تحسين سهولة قراءة الترجمة فيما يتعلق بالمعنى البلاغي.
