Impact of Political Stability on Economic Crisis; Mediated by Quality of Life among Youth in Erbil

The objective of this research is to explore the relationship between Economic Crisis and Political Stability among youth in Erbil City. It also explores how much impact quality of life, as a mediating variable, has on the variables of the research among the participants who are youth in Erbil City. The research is conducted using a quantitative method and descriptive approach through a social survey questionnaire. The research society is Erbil youth who are between 18 to 34 years old. The researchers used a stratified random sample of 400 youth from Erbil city while considering their demographic characteristics such as (gender, social status, and occupation).
To measure the variables of the research and collect data, the researchers prepared a questionnaire consisting of three scales (economic crisis, political stability, and quality of life). After collecting the data from the research society, the data were analyzed using (SPSS & AMOS) programs. The main findings were; The level of the economic crisis among the participants of the research sample is high. Generally, the participants in the sample feel a very low level of political stability. However, in the context of political conflicts, the level is higher, indicating that participants feel a relatively high level of political conflict. The quality-of-life acts as a partial mediation between economic crisis and political stability. With the increase in the level of quality of life, political stability increases, and with the decrease in the level of quality of life, political stability decreases.
