Abstract

Ethics includes all the good and bad behaviors that individuals perform in society. Their good and bad change from one society to another, just as they change over time in a particular society.  Morality is considered to be one of the most important genres of literary texts in general and poetry in particular.  Ethical criticism is the most important, logical and correct work on the content of literary works to identify ethical issues and determine how they are used and reflected in literary works.  This study is an attempt to evaluate Bakhtiar Zewar's poetry book according to the criteria and principles of moral criticism, whether Bakhtiar Zewar's poems direct society to morality and goodness, or direct society to evil and immorality.  On the other hand, this research will pave the way for literary critics when analyzing texts according to ethical principles and criteria.
