The Analysis of Discourse in the Sciences of Language: Theories and Perception of Language Functions in Genres

In this research, we aim to examine the different variants of language functions within texts. Specifically, our study focuses on the modalities of texts that encompass a broad spectrum of statements and textual genres. Furthermore, the objective of this research is to illustrate text indicators such as deixis, which signal the presence of the speaker within the message, the modulation of statements (variations in the speaker's alignment with their statements), and the interference in statements, which introduces disruptions within the message.The text is an act of utterance, describing a relation of correlation between utterance, enunciator (or the person who produces utterances, also called speaker), and the recipient. Given the infinite variety of texts, their differentiation is essential according to pre-established criteria. We can then speak of a “type of text”, whether it is a question of written texts or oral texts. The denomination “type” designates a text classification category based on observable linguistic criteria in the text itself. The expressions “types of discourse” or “forms of discourse” are also used. This device for categorizing textual genres is divided into multiple parts
