Eligibility

Eligibility to submit works for writing, translation, or publication under the auspices of the Committee for Evaluation of Book Writing and Translation at Salahaddin University-Erbil is broad and inclusive, ensuring equal opportunities for a wide range of contributors. All members of the university community—including academic faculty, researchers, postgraduate and graduate students, research assistants, alumni, and administrative employees—are encouraged to apply, reflecting the committee’s mission to cultivate a strong culture of academic and literary production across all levels of the institution. In addition, the committee extends its support beyond the university walls by welcoming applications from writers, translators, and scholars outside Salahaddin University-Erbil, thereby strengthening the link between the university and the broader intellectual and cultural community.

Submissions may be made in Kurdish, Arabic, English, or any other living language, ensuring multilingual inclusivity and academic diversity. In the case of translation projects, the committee requires that works be translated from a recognized living language into Kurdish or vice versa, with the ultimate aim of enriching the Kurdish library, enhancing cultural exchange, and broadening access to scientific and humanistic knowledge.
