The research aims to prepare aquatic resistance exercises for youth football players as well as to identify the effect of aquatic resistance exercises in developing explosive strength and speed endurance among members of the experimental group. The researcher used the experimental design of two equal groups which appropriates with the nature and procedures of the research. The research sample was intentionally selected from the youth team of Brayati football Club numbered (24) individuals divided into two equal groups (experimental and control) of (12) participants. Then the researcher prepared the aquatic resistance trainings using high intensity interval training method that suits the aged group. The training curriculum consists of (24) training units lasted for (8) weeks within (3) training units in each week using wave loading of 1:3. The statistical package of social sciences (SPSS V.16) is used for data analysis and discussion.
Conclusions:
- The aquatic training program was efficient in improving the level of explosive strength of the experimental group, the significant differences approved in the post test results meaning that the aquatic environment might the be an efficient method of training for developing this type of strength.
Recommendations:
- Integrate aquatic trainingwithin training programs during preparation period of football players especially in the phase of developing explosive strength with maintaining the appropriate level of intensity and volume.
