About the Journal

Minare Journal for Religious Studies (MJRS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published semi-annually, affiliated with the College of Islamic Sciences at Salahaddin University - Erbil. The journal is available in both print and electronic versions and has international ISSN numbers (print and e-ISSN). MJRS publishes original academic researches across all branches of Islamic studies. It also emphasizes the study and authentication of Islamic manuscripts in Arabic, Kurdish, and English, including interdisciplinary topics related to logic, philosophy, history, economics, and law, with the aim of providing results and outcomes that serves Islamic sciences and the academic community.

The journal ensures that the rate of submitted articles is international supposed to be exceed 5% and provides meta-data for indexing and metrics purposes.

The importance of MJRS lies in being the first recognized academic journal in the Kurdistan Region specializing in Islamic studies. Such a journal fulfills a critical need to provide a neutral academic platform for publishing scholarly works in Islamic sciences, free from non-academic or sectarian influences.

Forth: Characteristics of this Journal

  1. A semi-annual, recognized academic journal under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Kurdistan Region-Iraq.
  2. Published in both print and electronic versions with international ISSN numbers (p-ISSN and e-ISSN).
  3. All articles undergo double-blind peer review by local and international experts.
  4. All submissions are checked for plagiarism, ensuring the similarity index does not exceed 20%.
  5. Each article receives a DOI and is published as open access, with online submission available.
